Fulmer merged with Yarsley Research Laboratories and thus greatly expanded its base for contract research. The Merger was announced at the IOP Annual Meeting at the Savoy hotel in London where there was also a small display.

Yarsley’s skills primarily relate to polymers and their applications and therefore complements the existing capabilities of Fulmer, making Fulmer Yarsley one of the leading contract research organizations in materials and their uses.

The Yarsley Research Laboratories site at Chessington, Surrey, was to close and most of the staff and equipment transferred to Fulmer’s premises at Stoke Poges.  A few of the staff were transferred to the Yarsley Testing Laboratories site at Ashtead, Surrey.
